Terms of Service

STL PhotoStudio (stlphotostudio.com) is made and run by Chris Arock (“we”, “us”). You can reach us through the Support page or at support@stlphotostudio.com. By using STL PhotoStudio you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
STL PhotoStudio turns STL, GLB, OBJ and 3MF models into studio product photos in your browser — fast raster renders and path-traced renders, both made on your own device. Core features are free and need no account. Pro features (photos above HD, path-traced photos, several models per composition, exporting and importing model and composition files, and cloud storage for what you save) need an account and a paid monthly or yearly subscription. We may add, change or remove features over time.
2. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live, and at least 16.
3. Your files and designs
Your 3D files are opened and processed in your browser, and your photos are rendered there too. Files are uploaded to us only when a Pro user saves to their cloud storage: then the model files and the settings of the compositions and models you save, the images and textures you upload, and your saved materials, lighting setups and camera angles are stored in your account's private cloud storage. They're deleted when you delete them, 14 days after your Pro plan ends (we email you first), or with your account. You keep every right to your models, designs and photos; you only give us the permission we need to process and store them to provide the service. You confirm you have the right to use the models and images you load.
4. Your photos
Photos are rendered by your own device from your files and settings; materials, colours and lighting are simulations and can look different from the real product or on another screen. Please check your photos before relying on them for product listings or anything where accuracy matters — STL PhotoStudio is a visualisation tool.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use STL PhotoStudio for anything unlawful, and don't try to get around plan limits or payment, overload, attack, probe or scrape the service, or resell it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
6. Subscriptions
Pro is billed monthly or yearly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel. Payments are final — there are no refunds. Each plan includes a set amount of cloud storage; when Pro ends, your saved compositions, models and library are deleted 14 days later. The details are in Subscriptions & refunds below, which is part of these terms.
7. Availability
We work to keep STL PhotoStudio available and your saved data safe, but we can't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may pause it for maintenance or security.
8. Ending
You can stop using STL PhotoStudio at any time. You can delete saved compositions and models yourself in the app. To delete your account and everything it stores, open your account (your nickname at the top of the studio) and choose Delete my account: any subscription is canceled first, then the account and all its saved data are permanently deleted. When your Pro plan ends, everything in your cloud storage is deleted 14 days later. If an account is closed for breaking these terms, any remaining subscription time isn't refunded.
9. Disclaimer and liability
STL PhotoStudio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as lost profits, lost data, or errors in listings — and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version; if a change affects paid plans, we'll email subscribers before it applies. Using STL PhotoStudio after a change means you accept it.
Subscriptions & refunds
Monthly or yearly billing
Pro plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, at the price shown before you pay. Each payment gives you one month — or one year — of Pro. A yearly plan costs the same as 10 months.
Promotions
When a promotion runs, whoever subscribes while it runs keeps the promotional price for as long as they stay subscribed — also after the promotion ends, and when they switch to another plan or billing period the promotion covers. The promotion ends on the date shown; after that, new subscribers pay the list price. If you cancel and subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month (or year) and charges the card you paid with, through Square, until you cancel. We email you a reminder 3 days before each monthly renewal and 15 days before each yearly one.
Changing your plan
You can switch to another plan, or between monthly and yearly billing, from your account. The change takes effect at your next billing date, with no partial charge or credit; until then you keep the plan you paid for. A smaller plan must hold what you store today.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time from your account (your nickname at the top of the studio, or the green PRO button) → Cancel Pro. You won't be charged again, and Pro stays active until the end of the month or year you've already paid for; you can resume before then.
No refunds
All payments are final. We don't give refunds or credits — not for partial months or years, unused time, unused storage or unused features, and not when you cancel or switch part-way through a period. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period.
Cloud storage
Each plan includes cloud storage for what you save: Solo 100 MB, Team 200 MB, Agency 500 MB. It counts the model files your saved compositions and models use — each file once, however many of them use it — plus the images and textures you upload, preview images and the saved settings. When Pro ends (you cancelled and the paid period is over, or a payment failed), your saved data stays readable for 14 days and we email you before it's deleted. After that, it is permanently deleted; subscribe again before then to keep it.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Pro features stop right away. Your saved data stays readable for 14 days, then it's permanently deleted (see Cloud storage); subscribe again before then to keep it.
Price changes
If the price of your plan changes, we'll email you before the new price applies, so you can cancel first.
